So it’s finally here. The very first issue of my webzine Postmortem Mag, an exploration into the creative process and the reflections of artists. I’m really proud of our first issue, titled Origins, which you can check out over at our site.
That being said, and without going too much into my feelings on the webzine (that you can find here), we need your help.
The volunteers that contributed to the first issue did amazing work and I’ll be forever grateful, but I would like to pay them and others. I would like to continue publishing the work of creators but also give them a viable platform. The major problem surrounding independent artistry on the Internet is getting paid. In an environment that focuses on getting information for free, it’s become difficult for artists, writers, creators, to get compensated for the work they do. I would like Postmortem to not only be a platform for creators to publish their thoughts, but also a place that could help to support them.
But I can’t do it on my own.
I have set up two donation platforms. The first, and primary one, is on Patreon. You can set an amount to be charged monthly, which will go into paying contributors and supporting the site. You can find specific details on the Patreon page as to specifics.
The second is via Stripe directly on our website. This is for one-time donations and for people who are made uncomfortable by Patreon. If you would like to support in any other way or have questions, please don’t hesitate to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you so much and I hope you enjoy my little pet project.
