In another episode of “Carli is uncomfortable about a thing, here’s why,” I talk about Ebola. It’s not in the news so much anymore, but at the time I pitched this piece it was at the forefront of my day-to-day life. I was working in cable news during the height of the Ebola panic in America and watched as the nationwide fear increased about a disease that really had no chance of spreading far in the U.S. That being said, every day there was a new story. Whether it was a guy who was actually diagnosed with Ebola who was local so we HAD to cover it or when that same guy went to the hospital a few months later just in case and freaked everyone out, I saw it. So of course, that impacted my playthroughs of Plague Inc. But why was I made uncomfortable by it?
Very insightful and interesting from someone that covered the Ebola scare. Yeah its been a while since I’ve heard about it at least outside of Africa. I’m a little surprised that the UK or Europe wasn’t freaked since they’re closer.
