Hello! My name is Carli Velocci, and I’m a writer and editor specializing in video games, technology, and culture. A bit more about me, you say? Well, most recently, I was the video game lead and copy chief at Future on Windows Central, Android Central, and iMore from 2018-2022. I maintained and introduced workflow processes across three sites, managed content strategy for the gaming sections across all three sites, which covered all platforms, and got down and dirty editing everything from guides to reported features.

I’ve also written for several publications, including, but not limited to, Digital Trends, PCMag, Geek.com, the Boston Globe, Vice, Paste Magazine, Polygon, Gizmodo, io9, Bitch Magazine, and so many others. (Truly, so many others.) I’ve been in just about every corner of the newsroom, doing just about everything from reporting, to content producing, to social media management, and editing. I’ve done hiring, managing invoicing, and… did I say just about everything?

When I’m not working, I’m probably watching TV or movies, playing video games, or reading. I also crochet sometimes so I can pretend I have some hands-on skills. After years in Los Angeles, I now live in Boston with my fiance and our two cats, where you can find me at a cafe with a London Fog reading a book.
